Sovereign Grace Church

I attended Sovereign Grace Primitive Baptist Church with my family on Sunday, November 12. This was the first church constituted in the Philippines. It was a good service and we enjoyed the Lord’s blessings. I spoke on Psalm 90 verse 12: "Teach us to number our days." The Lord was with us.

The pictures will give you some flavor of the meeting: the trail to the meeting house; James’ songleading; neighborhood children listening in; crowding in the jeepney.

After service we went to KFC for our noon meal and took a few pictures of the mall that we thought would interest you.photos in the November album

Phone call from Elder Harter

I spoke with Brother Gus last evening from his home in Davao City. He said that everything was well with him and his family. They had a fellowship meeting at their home the night before, and about 70 people attended.

It was a warm meeting with many giving heart touching testimonies. Of special note was the testimony given by a Japanese man who had installed the air conditioning at the Harters’ home. While he was working, he had a chance to observe the Harter family going about their everyday activities. He was so impressed with the conduct of the children that he began to question Brother Harter about their faith. He did not know anything about Christianity but, with Elder Harter’s help, has become an avid student. He gave a testimony about his newfound faith, and everyone rejoiced. Praise the Lord for his life giving spirit!

Please continue to pray for Elder Harter as he travels to the area north of Davao City this week to meet with the churches and ministry there.
