We are enjoying the privacy of our new building and the independence of meeting at our own property. Several months back we rejoiced to receive a young minister Brother Julius Orit with several of his members. He was influenced by corresponding and teaching by Elder Mike Gowens. He was also influence by the tapes sent for two years by Elder Glen Blanchard. He has proven a faithful and stable benefit. Just a few weeks back we received by baptism. Lucio and Miriam Dumapias with their six beautiful children. He and his wife were raised good Catholics like most Filipinos. They left the Catholics three years back and began and independent ministry among the Charismatic. They have been visiting us at our new location. They requested me to speak at their different Bible studies. The message of grace was well received and they with several of their members requested baptism. Their kind spirit and infectious enthusiasm has been a great benefit to our church. The future of our little church is bright.

Your assistance to the evangelization of the Philippines and the work of mercy toward hurting and hungry children is very needed and graciously appreciated. Your prayers have been felt. You have help sustain this labor. Thank you! We are reducing the size of our clinic and making other changes to lower the cost of construction. It is our desire to begin construction as soon as we finish the desired changes. We have hired an excellent experienced farmer to come with us and develop our property. With six acres we desire to raise sufficient vegetable, fruit and meat to sustain both the clinic, the children’s home and our large family. It is our purpose to make the compound as self sustaining as possible. We also desire to teach the children a strong work ethic. We want to provide a means where when the children mature they can put themselves thru college thru their own work.

There is a way you can help in this project. We have no farming tools. If you have old hand tools, rakes, hoes, shovels, pitch forks, axes, hammers, wrenches, lawnmowers, chainsaws, edger’s, bush hog, weed eaters, disc, even a small tractor or any other farm equipment you are not using we are in great need. Elder Travis Housley from Kentucky regularly sends a container of electrical supplies to aid the Philippines. He will allow us to put in his container these donated farm equipment. We would have them shipped free of charge to Davao City. The container will be loaded in Newnan or Jackson, Georgia just outside Atlanta. Anyone desiring to contribute to this project please call or email or send a letter to Dave Bergman. His number is 770-619-1878, his email is d.bergman@mindspring.com and his address is, 10275 Piney Ridge, Alpharetta, GA, 30022-5069. The tentative date for shipping is on or before November 2005. Brother Dave will inform me and we will try to have them picked up.
