The Harters

Having been impressed by God to go to the Philippines to preach the Gospel, Elder Gus Harter, his wife Betty Jo and their 13 children moved to that island nation in September, 2000. They returned to America in January, 2008.

During his 35 years in the ministry, Elder Harter has always tried to “walk through any door that the Lord opens.” Those doors have led him to pastor churches in Florida and Georgia and to preach the Gospel of Christ from Detroit to Lubbock, Texas and from Los Angeles to Maryland.

In their lives and in their ministry, Gus and Betty Jo Harter give God all the glory for the eternal salvation of his elect who are more numerous than the sands of the sea and are found amongst every nation, kindred, and tongue.

Elder Harter now serves Bethany Primitive Baptist Church in Atlanta as pastor. There he continues to oversee the ministry of White Unto Harvest as a source of support and encouragement to our Filipino brethren.
